It is May 2, 1965.
In Geneva at the “Stade des Charmilles”, there are: 24,108 spectators at the qualifying match for the 1966 World Cup between Switzerland and Albania.
The teams play with these formations:
Switzerland:
Goalkeeper: Charles Elsener

Albania

The only goal was scored by Anton Allemann (6′).
Incident: Following the Geneva match, a fight broke out on the pitch between Swiss player Schindelholz and Albanian players (Shillaku, Jashari, Halili) who all tried to claim the match ball as a souvenir, requiring police intervention.

After the game Swiss player Schindelholz grabbed the ball to keep it as a souvenir. However, three Albanian players had the same idea and Shllaku, Jashari & Halili. jumped upon him and a real fight started. A Swiss policeman intervened and Schindleholz won the final battle for the ball. In Albania they play with balls of Red Chinese origin.
